Membership is open to all full-time administrators, faculty, staff, graduate/professional students, post-docs, and allies who align with our mission. The Caucus offers free membership to Carolina’s housekeeping and facilities staff. Membership dues include discounted rates (when applicable), e-newsletters, membership giveaways, and invitations to member-only workshops, special events, and celebrations. The Carolina Black Caucus reserves the right to revoke or deny membership.
Membership Types
Faculty/Staff: Faculty and staff who are currently employed at the University of North Carolina at Chapel and are committed to supporting and furthering the mission and vision of the Carolina Black Caucus.
Graduate/Professional/Post-Docs: Graduate/Professional students who are currently enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Chapel and are committed to supporting and promoting the mission and vision of the Carolina Black Caucus. This membership type is also open Post-Docs conducting research and training at the University.
Alumni: UNC alumni who are not employed by the University who are committed to supporting and furthering the mission and vision of the Carolina Black Caucus.
Friend of the Caucus (non-voting membership): Allies and any individuals affiliated or unaffiliated with the university who has a vested interest in supporting and promoting the mission and vision of CBC.
Lifetime Membership: Open to current UNC faculty/staff, retirees, and alumni who have been active/paid members of the CBC for at least two consecutive years and are committed to supporting and furthering the mission and vision of the Carolina Black Caucus. Allies are encouraged to join through the friends of the caucus membership. $500
Please Note: Caucus membership dues are paid on annual basis. Members must pay annual dues in order to renew their membership. Membership is subject to approval and valid during the fiscal year (July 1st- June 30th ).
